2023 Kia Sorento
An SUV can be an excellent companion to have on the road, thanks to its impressive interior space and undeniable style, and you can choose from many makes and models. While several SUVs might be able to get the job done, you deserve a vehicle you'll be satisfied driving for years to come. That's what you'll find with the new Sorento. Learn all about the 2023 Kia Sorento, and discover whether it's right for you.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
The new Sorento has eight trim levels, so customizing your new SUV is easy. At the base level, the LX comes with features like a matte-black rear spoiler and heated power mirrors. Meanwhile, the S trim offers black chrome window surrounds and a stylish gloss-black grille. The X-Line S offers a new signature bumper design.
If you want something more refined, the EX trim has handy LED fog lights. At the X-Line EX level, you get 20-inch wheels. Upgrade to the SX, and the exterior is outfitted with a panoramic moonroof and full LED projector-beam headlights. At the SX Prestige level, the Sorento has power-folding side mirrors. The top-level trim is the X-Line SX Prestige, which strives to combine all the Sorento's features into a package that's both sporty and luxurious.
Engine (Power)
Under the hood of the 2023 Kia Sorento, you'll find one of two engine options. The standard engine is already impressive, putting out 191 horsepower and 181 pound-feet of torque from a 2.5-liter inline-four. If that's not enough, you might be more interested in the 2.5-liter inline-four that's turbocharged, boosting its strength to 281 horsepower and 311 pound-feet of torque.
Performance
The new Sorento's performance is a force to be reckoned with, even at the base level. From the start, you can opt for all-wheel drive, which comes standard on every trim above the base. The Sorento is fun and easy to seize control of, thanks to its impressive acceleration that makes passing at highway speeds easy. The engine comes paired with a continuously variable transmission if you get the standard model, while the turbocharged variant boosts performance with a dual-clutch transmission.
Interior
The inside of the Kia Sorento offers extensive luxury and comfort features with quilted leather seats and room for seven passengers. If you upgrade to second-row bucket seats, the passenger capacity is six. The cargo space is generous, with 38.5 cubic feet of space available with only the third row folded down, allowing you to bring both cargo and passengers on your adventure. The Sorento boasts top-of-the-line technology features, including Bluetooth and an available 12-speaker Bose stereo.
Safety Features
The 2023 Kia Sorento lets you drive with peace of mind thanks to its array of safety features. Automatic emergency braking with forward collision detection and blind-spot monitoring are both standard, along with the advanced highway driving assist system. The latter is a semi-autonomous driving mode that helps you maintain your lane and puts a space cushion between your Sorento and the vehicle in front of you.
