Kia’s EV6 First Edition Reservation Program FAQs:
1. What is a reservation?
A reservation is not a vehicle order, purchase, or lease. By securing a reservation, you will have the opportunity to purchase or lease the EV6 First Edition from an authorized Kia dealer. The terms and conditions of the offer, including the price, will be determined by the dealer. If you make a reservation, you have no obligation to accept the dealer’s offer. Instead, you can choose to cancel your reservation, and receive a full refund of the $100 reservation payment, at any time prior to making a binding purchase or lease of the vehicle. If you ultimately reach an agreement with the dealer to purchase or lease the vehicle, the $100 reservation payment will be applied as a credit towards the price of the vehicle and you will receive the preferred gift that you selected when making your reservation.
2. How do I reserve my all-new EV6 First Edition?
Visit the 2022 EV6 Reservation page, configure your EV6, and submit your contact and credit card information. Once submitted, you will receive an email receipt to keep for your records.
3. How much does it cost to reserve an EV6 First Edition?
A payment of $100.
4. What happens to the reservation payment once I submit it?
Your reservation payment of $100 is held in a third-party merchant account until time of purchase or lease. When you pick up your vehicle, the dealership will apply the reservation payment to your purchase or lease.
5. How do I receive my preferred gift from Kia?
Your preferred gift will be waiting for you at the dealership when you pick up your EV6 First Edition. Be sure to have a copy of your reservation email with you or a screenshot or printout of the reservation summary from your “My Account” page.
6. Is my reservation payment refundable?
Yes. Your reservation payment is fully refundable if you decide to cancel your reservation for any reason and/or if you decide not to accept the purchase or lease offer made by the dealer. To cancel your reservation, visit the 2022 EV6 Reservation page, sign into your account, go to your reservation page and click “Cancel My Reservation.”
7. How long does it take to process a refund?
Refunds typically take no longer than 30 days to complete.
8. Is my payment information secure?
Kia America never receives your credit card information. Payment is processed by U.S. Bank via our partner at Virtoway.
9. What if I want to change the method of payment I used after I’ve made a reservation?
Kia America is unable to edit your payment information since it is processed by a third-party bank. If you choose to cancel your payment method, you will also cancel your reservation and we cannot guarantee your ability to reserve another EV6 First Edition.
10. Will my configuration be sent to my chosen Kia dealership?
Yes, the vehicle configuration you specified will be sent to your selected Kia dealership.
11. Can I select any Kia dealership?
For your convenience, a list of closest participating Kia dealerships will be displayed based on your zip code, but you may select your preferred participating Kia dealership anywhere nationwide.
12. What if I would like to change my vehicle preferences?
From now until September 1st, 2021, you can go online to make changes to your vehicle preferences, including color, dealership, and First Edition gift. To change your reservation, visit the 2022 EV6 Reservation page, sign into your account, go to your reservation page and update your preferences. After September 1st, you will need to contact your selected dealership regarding changes to your reservation.
13. What do I use to reference/redeem my reservation with the dealer?
When communicating with your selected Kia dealership about your payment, make sure to have your Transaction ID and the email address you used when placing your reservation. To find this information, visit the 2022 EV6 Reservation page, sign into your account, and go to your reservation page. When you go to the dealership to pick up your vehicle, be sure to have a copy of your reservation email with you or a screenshot or printout of the reservation summary from your “My Account” page.
14. How will I know when my 2022 EV6 First Edition is available to purchase or lease?
The Kia dealership you have selected will contact you in fall 2021 to guide you on next steps to purchase or lease your EV6 First Edition.
15. Will you share my reservation information with the selected dealership?
Your reservation information (name, phone number, email address, vehicle selection, and Transaction ID) will be shared with the dealership selected after September 1st, 2021.
16. When will I take delivery of my vehicle?
The all-new 2022 Kia EV6 First Edition is anticipated to become available starting in January 2022. Your dealership will contact you when your vehicle arrives. Contact your selected Kia dealership for more details.
17. Am I buying or leasing this vehicle directly from Kia America, Inc.?
No. The purchase or lease agreement will be between you and an authorized Kia dealership, not Kia America, Inc.
18. Can I make more than one reservation?
No, reservations are limited to one per household.
19. Can I change my dealership selection for my reservation after it has been submitted?
From now until September 1st, 2021, you can go online to make changes to your vehicle preferences, including color, dealership, and First Edition gift. To make changes to your reservation, visit the 2022 EV6 Reservation page, sign into your account, go to your reservation page and update your preferences. After September 1st, you will need to contact your selected dealership regarding changes to your order.
20. Can I use my $100 reservation payment towards another Kia vehicle, should I change my mind?
No. Your payment of $100 applies solely toward the purchase of a new EV6 from a participating Kia dealer. If you wish to cancel your EV6 reservation and purchase a different Kia or pre-owned vehicle from your dealer, your $100 payment will be refunded in full.
21. How long will you hold my reservation?
As part of the registration process, you may receive your offer to purchase or lease your EV6 First Edition either before or after it has been delivered to your selected dealer. Once your vehicle is delivered to the dealership, you have 10 days to finalize the transaction. If you choose to proceed, your reservation payment will be applied towards the purchase or lease of your vehicle. If you decline to proceed, your $100 payment will be refunded in full within 30 days.

23. Is the First Edition front or rear wheel drive?
First Edition is equipped with a dual-motor All-Wheel Drive (AWD) system.
24. What is the All-Electric Range (AER) of the First Edition?
EV6 First Edition is equipped with a 77.4kWh battery with an EPA estimated 275 miles all-electric range. A standard high efficiency heat pump HVAC system enhances cold-weather performance by reducing energy draw from the high-voltage battery needed to heat the cabin.
25. How much horsepower does the First Edition have?
313 Horsepower. 0-60 MPH in 5.1 seconds (estimated).
26. What type of charging system does the First Edition have and what kind of charging times can I expect?
EV6 utilizes the CCS (Combined Charging System) charging connector type. This plug allows Level 1 (110v), Level 2 (240v) and DC Fast Charging. The EV6 has the world’s first multi-fast charging system (DCF charging system), enabling DC fast charging at 400-volts or up to 800-volts, which can add up to 210 miles of driving range in just 18 minutes* using a compatible 800-volt DC fast charger. For Level 2 (home style) charging, the high voltage battery can be fully recharged in 9.4 hours*.
27. How much does it cost to charge the battery of the EV6?
The cost of electricity varies depending on local conditions and differs between charging at home versus using a Public Charging Station; however, the cost can be lower compared to gasoline. The lower fueling costs is one of several reasons to switch to an electric vehicle.
28. Does the First Edition have Heated and Ventilated Seats and a Heated Steering wheel?
The front seats are both heated and ventilated, and the outboard seats are heated. The steering wheel also features a heat function.
29. What type of seating material does the First Edition have?
Vegan Leather Seating Material.
30. What is the Kia battery warranty?
