EX

Performance and Driving Range
The Niro’s powertrain combines a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine and an electric motor, with a combined output of 180 horsepower and 195 lb.-ft of torque. A six-speed automatic transmission comes standard with front-wheel drive. The Niro PHEV has an 83 kW battery that offers 33 miles of all-electric driving. Once the battery is depleted, the hybrid system takes over, returning 53 mpg on average.
Exterior Features
The EX sports 16-inch alloy wheels and LED headlights, daytime running lights, and tail lights. The side mirrors are heated and power-adjustable, and they have integrated blinkers as well. The standard rain-sensing windshield wipers turn on when it starts to rain and adjust speed based on how heavy the rain is.
Interior and Comfort
The base EX has a charcoal interior with cloth and SynTex seats. It comes standard with heated front seats, a 10-way power driver’s seat, and a dual-zone automatic climate control system with AC vents for the crew in the back. Heated outboard rear seats and a heated steering wheel are both optional.
Audio and Connectivity
At the center of the dash, there’s a 10.25-inch touchscreen display with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, SiriusXM, and built-in navigation. You also get five USB charging ports, a wireless charger, and a 12V power port to power your devices. The standard six-speaker audio system fills the cabin with clear, crisp audio.
Driver Assistance Features
With a comprehensive safety suit, the EX gives you peace of mind behind the wheel. It features a forward collision warning system that prevents collisions with oncoming vehicles, pedestrians, and cyclists. Lane departure warning, blind spot collision warning, lane keeping assist, rear cross-traffic alert, safe exit warning, and smart cruise control all come standard.
SX Touring
The SX Touring trim upgrades the exterior with 18-inch alloy wheels, LED fog lights, and a smart power liftgate. It also comes with Kia’s Digital Key 2.0, which can lock and unlock the doors and start the engine. Inside, you get an auto-dimming rearview mirror that reduces glare from headlights behind you, making night driving easier.
The SX Touring trim steps up the comfort with ventilated front seats, heated outboard rear seats, and a heated steering wheel. The driver’s seat gains a memory system, which allows two preset seating positions. This trim also gets a more premium Harman Kardon stereo with eight speakers.
