There’s something about the warmer weather that makes being in the car so much more fun. We don’t have long to drive to get to a lot of great spring activities in Lancaster, OH this year. Here’s some of what we’re most looking forward to doing right now.

1. Spring at the Round Barn Vintage & Made Market

Once again, it is time for the Spring at the Round Barn market on April 28th and April 29th. Friday hours will be 4 pm to 8 pm with $10 cash tickets at the gate. Saturday hours are 9 am to 3 pm for $5 cash with free admission after 3 pm on Saturday. If you pick up a lot of great finds, they do have porters at the fairgrounds who can help.

This event is at the Fairfield County Fairgrounds located at 157 E Fair Ave and parking is free. You’ll love how much easier the crowded parking lot is with the rearview camera in your 2023 Kia Rio S. You’ll find over 150 vendors at this market selling vintage finds, farm fresh produce, baked goods, and handmade items. There will also be live music and food trucks on both days of this promising and huge event.

2. Mom & Me Container Garden Workshop

Moms will be enjoying a special day with their children on Thursday, May 4th at the Lancaster Greenhouse. You’ll find this event located at 1281 Granville Pike, and it takes place at 6:00 pm. The workshop costs $50, which includes the cost of supplies.

While you’re there, you’ll learn how to make a container flower garden together that you’ll be able to bring home. You don’t need to know anything about how to do this before coming. Your instructor will teach you everything, including how to care for the flowers when you get home.

3. Ham and Eggs Music and Comedy Show

The Lancaster Men’s Chorus is putting on a special spring comedy show on Thursday, May 11th at 7:30 pm. You’ll want to arrive on time at 1570 Granville Pike for this night of music and laughs. This is truly something unique to do this spring, so we won’t want to miss it.

4. First Farmer’s Market of the Season

The market is back on Saturday, May 6th starting at 8:30 am and going until noon. Start the season off right at 134 S Columbus St. Note that you’ll want to use the parking lot on West Chestnut between Broad St and Columbus St for easy city-owned parking.

If you don’t want to carry your bags of produce and baked goods to the car, ask for their valet service. You can go ahead and head back to the car and then pull up to the curb where they’ll hand you your bags. This little trick can make doing all your shopping here a lot easier.

Hopefully, this list helps get you in your car and out to have some fun on the weekends. The only thing that could make the season better is a fun new vehicle to do it all in. Visit Coughlin Kia of Lancaster to see our selection of new cars
