The first option is a 2.0-liter four-cylinder version that puts out 146 horsepower and comes with a continuously variable automatic transmission. This base version is available in either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. There’s also a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that gets 175 hp with a seven-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive.

Fuel Economy

The base engine with front-wheel drive offers the best gas mileage in the Seltos lineup with an EPA rating of 29 miles per gallon in the city and 35 mpg on the highway. The turbocharged version is rated at 25 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway.
